New Business Support Council Established: Administrative Changes

The President of Ukraine has issued a new decree dissolving five advisory bodies at the Office of the President and creating a new Council to support business.

This information was published on the website of the Office of the President.

"To ensure the constitutional right to entrepreneurial activity and enhance the effectiveness of investment development in Ukraine,... I decree to establish a Business Support Council as an advisory body under the President of Ukraine", – states the decree from Zelensky.

The main tasks of the new Council include:

  • analyzing the effectiveness of state policy in the entrepreneurship sector, identifying issues, and proposing solutions;
  • developing measures to improve business conditions, stimulate investment, and protect property rights;
  • reviewing legislation related to entrepreneurship and forming proposals for improving Ukrainian laws;
  • facilitating cooperation between state agencies and entrepreneurs to address business challenges.

The head of the council has been appointed Andriy Yermak, with Yuliia Svyrydenko as his deputy.

More than 70 entrepreneurs have joined the council, including Oleg Horokhovskyi, Maksym Timchenko, Serhii Tihipko, Ihor Nikov, Vyacheslav Klymov, and others. The full membership can be found on the Office of the President's website.

At the same time, Zelensky dissolved five other advisory bodies:

  • The National Reform Council;
  • The Executive Reform Committee;
  • The National Investment Council;
  • The Council for the Development of Small Business;
  • The Council for Supporting Entrepreneurship during Martial Law.
