Bethlehem Fire Ceremony in Odesa
On December 24, a remarkable event took place at the Odesa Zoo – the ceremony of passing the Bethlehem Fire of Peace, brought to our city by Raisa Kraieva, the leader of the Odesa Children's and Youth Creativity Center "Samotsvit".
The Bethlehem Fire of Peace is an international scouting event that occurs annually before Christmas. Its primary goal is to spread the symbolic flame, lit at the birthplace of Jesus Christ, across the globe. The fire represents goodwill and support.
During the ceremony, the representatives of the Black Sea Fleet of Young Sailors and volunteers were present.
The attendees exchanged holiday greetings, warm words, and sincere wishes for peace.
This event was initiated by the honored cultural worker of Ukraine, Olena Alexeyenko.
