Exploring Opportunities in the National Police of Ukraine

In Odesa and Izmail, law enforcement officials engaged with high school students to introduce them to the workings of police units. During an open house event at a local university, students were given insights into the role of forensic specialists.
Experts showcased how they operate at crime scenes, illustrating the contents of forensic kits, tools for evidence collection, fingerprinting kits, and photo- and video-recording devices.
Participants observed the fingerprinting process and learned how prints are transferred to fingerprint cards for further analysis.
Police emphasized that the accuracy of evidence collection is crucial for solving crimes.
“With modern forensic equipment, we can meticulously document every detail at the crime scene, ensuring a fair investigation,” noted police major Tetyana Skyrtenko.
In Izmail, personnel officers met with students from a local academy, discussing career paths within the National Police and introducing them to the activities of criminal police, investigators, and community officers.
“We invite motivated, honest, and energetic young individuals ready to face today's challenges to join the National Police of Ukraine,” emphasized senior inspector Tetyana Artemenko-Holod.
These meetings are held regularly, as they help young people better understand the role of police officers and the significance of the profession, guiding them in making informed career choices.
