ONU Named Among Top 10 Universities in Ukraine
Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov has been ranked among the top 10 universities in Ukraine according to the 2024 Consolidated Ranking of Higher Education Institutions.
This was reported by the educational information resource «Osvita.ua».
The leader in higher education is Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which has topped the list of the best universities in the country for the eighth consecutive year.
For reference, in the overall ranking of 2023, ONU named after Mechnikov held the 8th position.
The consolidated ranking of Ukrainian universities for 2024 includes results from 235 higher education institutions.
To compile the overall ranking, data from the most authoritative national rankings, including «Top-200 Ukraine», «Scopus», and «NMT Contract Score», are used, each employing different evaluation criteria for educational institutions.
Previously, Odesa State Environmental University (ODEKU) ranked 15th among all universities in Ukraine based on effectiveness.
It is worth noting that at the beginning of 2024, it was announced that as part of the reorganization of universities, the Ministry of Education of Ukraine intends to merge Odesa Environmental University and the Physico-Chemical Institute for Environmental Protection and Human Safety with Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov.
