Update on Healthcare Services in Odessa
On February 26, 2025, an important meeting took place at the Odessa City Hall, attended by leaders of the Department of Health and representatives of medical institutions.
Denys Chornyi, head of the Southern Interregional Department of NSZU, noted that Odessa is among the leaders in Ukraine in terms of the number of contracts signed under the state medical program.
During the meeting, funding for medical guarantees, new service packages, and changes in financing were discussed. Specifically, the base rate for primary healthcare services increased from UAH 786.65 to UAH 844.4. The issue of patients who haven't sought medical assistance in three years was also addressed.
Other topics included new operating algorithms for expert teams and mental health services. New initiatives for veterans and the expansion of the “Affordable Medicines” program were presented.
“Throughout the three years of the war, NSZU's funding for medical services has remained stable, allowing us to support the healthcare system in Odessa,” stated Levon Nikogosyan, director of the Department of Health.
