Sensory Rehabilitation Forum Held in Odesa

An educational and practical forum titled «Sensory Therapy and Rehabilitation: Science, Movement, Harmony» was held in Odesa, organized by the Ukrainian Research Institute of Rehabilitation and Health Resorts.

The event was supported by the municipal organization «Veteran Hub».

The aim of the forum was to support professionals who assist military personnel in overcoming the effects of stress, trauma, and fatigue by reconnecting individuals with their bodies through touch and movement.

The program featured presentations on modern approaches to somatic sensory therapy, sound therapy, and art therapy, along with workshops on canine therapy, body practices, and restoring psychophysical well-being.

Participating were psychologists from the National Guard of Ukraine, physical rehabilitation specialists, and experts who provide daily assistance to military personnel and war victims.

«All the contemporary developments presented by specialists from various fields are aimed at restoring emotional states, aiding in the overcoming of stress disorders, adapting to civilian life, and enhancing the effects of primary treatment,» said leading physical therapist Svitlana Trapeznikova.

The organizers noted that the forum united science, practice, and humanity.
