Effective Collaboration with Humanitarian Organizations in Odesa

An effective collaboration algorithm has been established in Odesa for interacting with international humanitarian organizations to promptly respond to the consequences of enemy attacks. This was shared by the acting mayor of Odesa, Oleksandr Filatov, during a general coordination meeting held by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Representatives from UN agencies and international NGOs working in Odesa and the surrounding area attended the meeting, alongside the mayor's advisor on humanitarian issues, Veronika Etnarovich, the director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy, Olena Kytainska, and the director of the Department of Health, Levon Nikogosyan.

«Currently, in the Khadzhibey district, municipal workers are engaged in eliminating the aftermath of the nighttime enemy attack. Meanwhile, employees from international humanitarian organizations and charitable foundations are assisting local authorities, utility services, and especially the people affected by the attack. We truly value this crucial and necessary cooperation, especially today,» stated Oleksandr Filatov.

Oleksandr Filatov also presented the current needs and priorities for the city of Odesa in 2025.

Additionally, the parties discussed the issue of receiving assistance from international partners in the coming year.
