Expanding Support for Individuals with Disabilities
The Friedehorst Foundation in Bremen is well-known for its long-standing efforts in supporting individuals with disabilities across all age groups, as well as the elderly. This organization exemplifies a comprehensive approach to social services, adaptation, and rehabilitation.
During our visit, we explored the various departments within the foundation, particularly those focused on caring for people with disabilities, rehabilitation programs for both children and adults, and modern methods of supporting the elderly.
For the Odesa region, this experience is incredibly valuable as we aim to develop our area towards accessibility and social integration for all demographics. We discussed opportunities for collaboration in the exchange of experiences, the implementation of modern rehabilitation technologies, and training programs for specialists working with individuals with disabilities.
We also paid special attention to the development of long-term strategies to support socially vulnerable groups that could be tailored to our regional conditions.
We are grateful to our colleagues at Friedehorst for their openness and willingness to share their insights. Such collaboration is a significant step toward improving the quality of life for residents of the Odesa region.
