A Celebration of Poetry and Sweets in Odesa
On March 9, an extraordinary event titled «Recite a Poem for Candy» took place in Shevchenko Park, Odesa. Organized by the public organization «State Protection», the event was dedicated to the birthday of Taras Shevchenko. Participants had the chance to recite the poet's verses and receive sweet rewards.
The event attracted people of all ages, including both adults and children, who came together to remember Shevchenko's poetry. Every participant who recited lines from the Kobzar was gifted a box of candies, making the event even more appealing.
Olexiy Zemlyany, the head of the Odesa branch of «State Protection», welcomed all participants on the poet's birthday and expressed hope that Shevchenko's words would symbolize unity for Ukraine. The event concluded with the recitation of famous lines from Shevchenko's works about the future of the country.
