Ukrainian Athletes Shine at the Muay Thai European Championship

The European Muay Thai Championship took place from November 18 to 25, 2025, in Athens, Greece.

A total of 536 athletes from 46 countries participated in the event.

The Ukrainian national team comprised athletes from sports schools No. 7 and No. 16 based in Odesa.

In the «wai kru» section, champions included Ivan Rasputny, Anastasia Yevtushenko, and Irina Ladynenko (all from sports school No. 7), while Valery Denisov (sports school No. 16) earned a silver medal.

Among athletes aged 12-13, Diana Savotina triumphed, defeating Polish competitor Sandra Kazimirska in the finals, while Ivan Rasputny secured a bronze medal.

In the 14-15 age group, athletes from sports school No. 7 also won two silver medals, with Kirill Berezovsky and Yelizaveta Velikova finishing as runners-up.

In the U-23 category, Elina Perstnyova (sports school No. 16) claimed the European champion title.

Moreover, athletes from sports school No. 7 excelled in the adult competitions, with Mykhailo Serdiuk and Bohdan Studnev becoming European champions, while Nikita Kuts and Dmytro Zanin earned bronze medals.

The athletes were trained by coaches: Hanna Yevtushenko, Volodymyr Pishenin, Liliya Shapoval, Hanna Avakova, Mykhailo Mitaki, and Andrii Vakharash (sports school No. 7) along with Maksym Neledva (sports school No. 16).
