Angelika Terlyuga Wins Bronze at World Karate Championship in Cairo
From November 27 to 30, the World Karate Championship was held in Cairo, Egypt, featuring 384 athletes from 88 countries.
Ukrainian karate star Angelika Terlyuga claimed a bronze medal in the under 55 kg category.
After her quarter-final loss to Egyptian competitor Ahlam Youssef (3:8), Angelika was given a chance to fight for bronze since her opponent reached the final. In the bronze medal match, she triumphed over Valentina Toro Meneses from Chile (ranked No. 2 in the WKF world ranking) with a score of 6:4, showcasing her skill and indomitable spirit.
This year, following the birth of her child, Angelika has already proven her elite level by securing a silver medal at the World Games in Chengdu, China.
