New Developments in Accessible Route in Odesa
Recently, Odesa launched a new phase of its accessible route project. Initial informational signs have been placed in key areas with high pedestrian traffic, near medical, educational, and social facilities.
The initiative titled ‘Barrier-Free Route’ is an ongoing effort.
Today marked the beginning of the second phase: ambassadors from the “Barrier-Free Route” have installed special markers at public transport stops, in residential courtyards, and near critical social establishments. These markers assist individuals with mobility challenges in navigating the city.
The project in Odesa is initiated by Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov. Coordination is managed by the Barrier-Free Council, which includes experts, veterans, and representatives from community organizations.
