Outstanding Achievements of Ukrainian Karatekas at European Championship
The European Championship in absolute weight category and the European Cup for adults, juniors, youth, and children concluded in Bucharest (Romania).
A total of 878 competitors from 18 countries participated in the event.
Among the Ukrainian national team were athletes from Odesa.
Yegor Tepliy earned a silver medal in the 14-15 age category (up to 75 kg), while Yana Strozhenko won a similar award among female competitors aged 8-9 (up to 30 kg).
Bronze medals were awarded to Sofia Vinnichenko (among female athletes aged 8-9, up to 30 kg), Polina Klimenko (10-11 years, up to 30 kg), and Maksym Papov (14-15 years, 60 kg).
The athletes were trained by coaches Serhiy Papov, Vladyslav Panchenko, and Pavlo Vinnichenko.
